On January 2, 2001, we left NYC headed for Hong Kong, so Richard could accompany Soprano Jane Chu in a recital at Hong Kong City Hall Theatre.
Even though we love to travel, we never thought we would go to China, so the opportunity to see this great country was one we couldn't pass up.
Getting around.
You can use the navigation at the top if you like, but we suggest you start with Hong Kong and follow the picture links at the end of each page.
That way you can follow our footsteps through China.
About the pictures.
Here are the pictures and some details about the wonderful places we visited.
The pages contain a lot of photos, making the loading time a little long, but I couldn't leave any out.
I think the pictures look better when I increase the brightness of my monitor; you might want to try it also.
About the stories.
The information I've included about China was compiled from our tour guides, several books and web sites.
If any of the information is wrong, please e-mail me to let me know, and if you would like information about travel in China, send an e-mail and I can fill you in on how we planned our trip.
Hope you enjoy the pictures!
